While I was making one of trips with Erik to the giant see turtle, we crossed the border to this country. We visit the former prison where Pappilon spent his life. It was very typical that this country speaks french and everything changed immediately when we crossed the border by boat. The prison was very impressive as the cells where small and it mus thave been horrible to be there with the warm weather and bad circumstances…

For three months I did an internship in South America. This country is not well known but is a former colony of the Dutch. The country exist of 80% of natural rainforest with jungle and also giant see turtles. The country has only 500.000 inhabtitats and is four time as big as holland.

The internship went very well and i got quit some time to travel and see all the beautiful things of the country. The last two weeks I spend with Erik and we made some awesome jungle tours and a tour to Galibi. This was one of my best trips ever!

Minnesota is a state above Iowa. In summer 2004 i went with my hostmom Becky up to Minnosata and the waterfalls. After crossing the border with iowa the surrouding was beautiful. Everything was so green and many waterfalls. We went to look for Mooses at Isle Royal which is a natural park. We camped right next to lake superior which is one of the biggest and coldest lakes of the world. The camping trip was really nice!

For two years I have lived in Iowa. The first year I stayed in Fremont and went to high school I lived at a hostfamily, with an american hostmom and a hostsister from scotland. The first year i played in marching band, did cross country and track and graduated at a real american graduation. The second year I went to college at Central in Pella which was of course also very interested as it was a completely different experiences compared to the high school. While i was in the USA i had lots of time to travel to many places!!!

Last weekend we went a quit of few internationals to Hungary to visit the capital Budapest. As I have lived with a hungarian for a quit some time i was anxious to see the city. Especially because we never got along and I hated him because he almost killed my cat Teddy. There is a whole story behind it but i gave up and decided to visit the city.

Around eight o’clock in the morning we left with the audie 3 including a navigation system. Within a couple hours we arrived at the cheap hostel and the lady only spoke hungarian.

We went to the soccer game hungaria – malta, sightseeing and some local pubs for food and a few beers. The next day we went to the baliton lake and after an 8 hour drive we finally got home.

I went as shapporone with my hostmom to Chicago. We took for five hours the train and went sightseeing throuhout Chicago. We went to an art museum with some real Van Goghs and to a real entertainment museum which was actual for kids. We ate pizza at the famous pizzeria down town and we spent some good time for christmas shopping.

During my second semester of College I got the opportunity to travel with a friend of mine to Texas. She was moving home so I joined her on the way. First I had to take the greyhound bus for 30 hours but finally I arrived. I spent a week long driving car, going to the beach, club, shopping, sight seeing, entertainment park six flags, and I drove a lot. I even drove through Kansas back to Iowa.

While we visited New York I also went to DC. A beautiful city and now buildings are really high. I have seen the white house and bought a sweater with statin DC. I went to a couple museums, it is good they are free for the public. I went to Martin Luter King memorial, vietnam memorial and John F Kennedy grave. I also went up to Mary Land and ate some great sea food. I watch my first la crosse game and spent time with the daughter of my host mom.

Together with my Scotthish host sister I went for a couple days to New York (and DC). As a young girl of being 18 years old it was very awesome to see this number one capital city of the USA. We did all the touristy stuff, even the red tour busses. It gave us a great sight about New York. Highlights: The Empire state building, central park and statue of liberal. (I expected it to be bigger) I also went to ground zero. I place in the city completly empty and tortured down to nothing. I want to go back there now I have been 21 and see more of this amazing city.

While my parents, Rianne (my sis) and I were camping in Italy we went for a day to Rome. This day was too short but it was awesome, we spent an entire day with a tourguide throughout Rome. The Vatican is just so amazing, I have never seen a better religion church ord. I have also seen the fountains and the Colloseum. It is unbelievable the Romans build these ages ago. I want to go back there to see more from this amazing city!
